"Sierra demonstrates high standards of reliability, honesty, leadership, and service. She is an extremely talented artist. With the College Park City-University Partnership, while she was a student, she was crucial to the design and implementation of a mural created to showcase the history of Lakeland in College Park. Lakeland is a longstanding, historical and thriving African American community that was negatively affected by Urban Renewal between 1960-1980. “A Path Forward” came to fruition because Sierra came to the planning meeting, and immediately started sketching the design of the people and places we aimed to celebrate and bring their stories to attention. Not only did she help design this important mural, but she also led local M-NCPPC Summer Youth Enrichment Program artists as they worked to install the artwork. She has great leadership ability and I enjoyed watching her work independently and collaboratively. As the Mount Rainier Elementary School PTO Grounds Committee chair, my role was to implement a revitalization plan created by the Neighborhood Design Center. Sierra has been instrumental in beautifying the front of the school and it was thanks to her ability that we were able to be successful. She has designed and installed murals to celebrate sustainable commutes, improve a rusting door, add artwork to railings and dumpsters. Sierra’s creative process is amazing. She is an avid listener who can take vague and general guidance and move forward with designs that both respond to the ideas put forth and push forward the plan without needing multiple iterations. When being asked to go through various designs, she is adept at getting through the process with grace and confidence. These are both critical skills. In addition, she has always shown courtesy, concern, and respect for anything she is involved in."

"She was a key player in assisting me with a solo exhibition at the Delaware Contemporary Museum, and events at my studio in Adams Morgan, Washington DC. She is an industrious, dependable, and team player who brings creativity and brightness on any project assigned. She was also very proactive in offering helpful suggestions for greater efficiency and productivity for my art business.

Sierra was highly organized in the office, assisting with administrative duties such as social media, inventory and proposal preparation. Additionally, her many talents include sales and people skills.
Sierra was a quick study when she assisted in painting at 10 foot canvas mural for an exhibition and is a very talented and hard working artist."

"Sierra brings to all of her activities, energy, enthusiasm, and dedication. This is to be expected in any intern, but in these attributes, Sierra was exceptional. She fit in well, often participating in design training and assisting in graphic recording work. She was always ready to do all needed research for events and management, and actively worked at my side for clients to capture visuals, using technology and ingenuity.

Sierra has a deep-rooted spirit of helpfulness and I found this most engaging in her character as she has wide-ranging interests outside of work and academic studies.

"Ms. Sigmone was commissioned to design, draw, paint, and execute two murals, on a 23' x 80' wall, in our new headquarters, and in time for our Grand Opening Reception. Ms. Sigmone was always very professional and responsive to feedback. She began her work in the Spring 2019 by providing multiple sketches as well as black and white and color versions for me to choose the best design to suit our facility. For safety purposes, Ms. Sigmone was required to earn a certification to operate a forklift. She made this a top priority as we had a tight deadline to complete this project. Ms. Sigmone then executed the mural in a timely and efficient fashion. She completed her work well in advance of our agreed upon deadline. The end result was a strikingly beautiful image of an eagle, which symbolizes our company mascot and vision. Additionally, she very accurately painted the flags for the USA, State of Maryland, and Prince George's County. We are grateful for Ms. Sigmone's hard work and dedication on this project. It was her first time undertaking such a large endeavor and she did not disappoint!"
